Terra Alta L'Abrunet Blanc is 100% Garnacha Blanc. This wine typifies their mad scientist approach in that the conduct a double harvest of the same fruit. The first harvest achieves razor-sharp acidity, the second captures the richness of the variety and the construction of the 2 creates the ultimate expression of the variety. Genius really! Terra Alta La Foradada is the same variety, but with a few days skin contact, technically making it an 'orange wine'. Made in stainless steel, de-stemmed, it is still bright in colour, but an epic intro to the style, giving off plenty of interesting notes, shapes and colours whilst remaining compulsively drinkable. Les Alifares de Frisach is a more full on version of an orange wine, fermented with skin, stems and everything - this needs to be sipped and pondered, and consumed with a huge board of antipasto!

Vino de Mesa L'Abrunet Rosat may just be my fave pink gear of the moment. Made from 3 varieties: Garnaxta Gris, Negre & Blanc, it combines fruit weight, freshness and aroma, with a typical peaches and cream Rose character. Terra Alta L'Abrunet Negre is the flagship red, made from Ganaxta and Carinena. This is a wine of stunning tension and minerality, beautiful, sappy Ganaxta fruit, with razorsharp Carinena, both fruity and floral, long and delicious. Vino de Mesa Sang de Corb is Garnaxta, Carinena and Ganaxta Peluda (the so called Hairy Grenache), this is a wine of power, character and spirit. 65 year old vines, silky but structured with a memorable a label as you've ever seen.
